BuddyPress Profiles

AppCommunity automatically displays BuddyPress profile pages for your members when their avatar is clicked.

The avatar used is the BuddyPress avatar. This can be changed in the app when a logged in user visits their profile page and clicks Edit Profile.

To add other profile fields, you can use the Extended Profile or XProfile fields. First, visit the BuddyPress settings and enable them.

Next, visit Users => Profile Fields and add or edit the fields there. For example, add a field called "favorite color." 

Now users will be able to edit these fields from the app when they click Edit Profile.

To display these Xprofile fields in the app, you need to add custom code to a plugin. For example, to display the fields I just added on the profile page below the user avatar, I would add this code to a custom plugin.
