Add a new application

Creating a new app for your next project is easy to do. You first want to go to https://myapppresser.com and click on the "Go to your app dashboard" button.

Once logged in and you are on your account homepage, click on the "+ New App" button.

App Details

Clicking the "+ New App" button will show you a new page with options for creating your new application. Give your application a title (App Name), enter the exact WordPress Website URL you will connect you application to in the next article. Pick a color for the App toolbar (top and bottom of the app) and the color of the text in the App toolbar. These can be changed later in the App Customizer.

App Features

Your application comes with many features. When creating a new application, we want to know the core features you will be using in your app. Here is a breakdown of the 5 available features on the New App screen.

  1. Login:

Enabling the login feature will add a Login/Logout feature into your application sidebar. This feature also has other options once the application is setup. For now, we want to know if you want to set up your new application with this feature enabled. (Can be enabled later, doesn't have to be chosen at setup).

  2. WooCommerce:

Enabling the WooCommerce feature tells the application to setup the basic pages needed for any WooCommerce application. The pages are an Account page, Shopping Cart, Categories, and Shop. If you do not select this feature during the New App setup process, you will be able to create these pages manually in the app. We recommend selecting this feature when creating a new app as it will create these pages and give you a better idea of how we would set up a cart and shop based on our experience.

  3. LearDash:

Enabling the LearnDash feature tells the application to setup the basic pages for your Learning Application. The pages are Student Profile and Courses. If you do not select this feature during the New App setup process, you will be able to create these pages manually in the app. We recommend selecting this feature when creating a new app as it will create these pages and give you a better idea of how we would set up a cart and shop based on our experience.

  4. BuddyPress & BuddyBoss:

Enabling the BuddyPress feature tells the application to setup the basic pages for your social application. The page are Member Profile, Messages, Groups, Members, Activity. If you do not select this feature during the New App setup process, you will be able to create these pages manually in the app. We recommend selecting this feature when creating a new app as it will create these pages and give you a better idea of how we would set up a social style application based on our experience.

App Pages

When creating your next application, we can help you get started creating three pages almost every application will use at some point. A Location (Map & Hours) page, podcast page and a Static Homepage with two options.

  1. Location (Map & Hours):

Selecting the Location page will create a custom page in the AppCustomizer that will help you set up a Google Map embedded Iframe map and a card with a list of hours with the correct markup based on our experience with the ionic framework.

  2. Podcast:

Selecting the Podcast page will create a custom page in the AppCustomizer that will help you integrate your application to your Podcasting setup on your website. We do suggest you use one of our approved plugins when getting. started. You can read more about the podcast setup on our Podcasting Document.

  3. Static Homepage

Our static homepage comes with two layouts. One with Menu Cards, your logo and a CSS class to add some design to the top of the homepage. The other is a Business page that is built more like a Website homepage to give your app a Different type of feel when opening your app for the first time.

All Done?
